The Social Committee of the Parish of Alvalade (CSFA), Children and Youth Group, marked April – Child Abuse Prevention Month – with the involvement of various organisations in the parish of Alvalade, such as Casa Pia de Lisboa, a Escola Básica Dom Luís da Cunha, a Escola Básica Santo António, ou ainda o Centro Social e Paroquial do Campo Grande, amongst others.
Several blue ribbons, the symbol of this cause (find out about their origin here), were made, and on 29 April at 3 pm, these ribbons were displayed in various locations across the parish.
Throughout May, the CSFA will publish the photographs taken on 29 April, thereby continuing to raise awareness of this issue.
The Fundação Cidade de Lisboa, a partner organisation of the CSFA, has joined this cause and will also publish the photographs on this page.
