On 13 April, we had the privilege of welcoming former scholarship holder Celina Lizardo to the Foundation’s headquarters. Hailing from the island of Santo Antão, Cape Verde, Celina was the first student to graduate through the “Colégio Universitário da Cooperação – Nuno Krus Abecasis,” completing her degree in Management at ISCTE – University Institute of Lisbon in 1995.

Whenever she visits Portugal, the Fundação Cidade de Lisboa serves as a meeting point with the Board, Management, and all staff. It is a journey into the past, reminiscing about the wonderful times spent here—not necessarily within the physical walls of this headquarters or residence, but in the broader space of the heart, defined by mutual affection and friendship.

Celina is currently a member of the Ministry of Finance – National Directorate of State Revenues of Cape Verde, where she serves as the Coordinator for the “Electronic Invoicing” project. She is also currently in her first year of a PhD in International Relations at ISCTE – University Institute of Lisbon.
