400\">As part of the Erasmus+ Accreditation, which enables the Funda\u00e7\u00e3o Cidade de Lisboa (FCL) to carry out mobilities within the European Union for its staff, the organisation&#8217;s 6th staff mobility took place between 13 and 17 April 2026. This time, the destination was Denmark, where two FCL staff members &#8211; Almudena Ferro and Rute Machado -, participated in the course <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Beyond the Classroom: Exploring Nature, Culture, and Art<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, promoted by<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/erasmusconnect.dk\/event\/teaching-beyond-the-classroom-exploring-nature-culture-and-art-4\/\"> <span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Erasmus Connect<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> and based in Esbjerg.<\/span><\/p>\n                    <\/div>\n    <\/article>\n<\/section>\n\n<section id=\"title-image-description\" class=\"title-image-description\">\n     <!-- Article content -->\n    <article class=\"article-content\">\n        <div class=\"container-fcl\">\n            \n                            <h2>A course to rethink learning spaces<\/h2>\n            \n            \n                            <p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Spanning five days and 25 teaching hours, the course was built around the exploration of teaching methodologies outside the classroom, integrating art, nature and culture as pedagogical resources. The objectives included incorporating art into teaching, planning activities in urban environments, combining outdoor learning with regular curricular practices, and understanding the social and pedagogical benefits of this approach.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The programme combined moments of reflection and sharing with visits and hands-on activities in diverse settings. One of the days took the group to the island of Fan\u00f8, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, where they explored <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">sketchnoting<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, monoprinting and storytelling between art and landscape. Another day was dedicated to the Esbjerg Kunstmuseum, where participants experienced the <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">slow looking method<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> and discovered how to explore a museum using all five senses. The experience also included outdoor activities, a guided tour of Esbjerg, and exchange moments with professionals from different European countries.<\/span><\/p>\n                    <\/div>\n    <\/article>\n<\/section>\n\n<section id=\"title-image-description\" class=\"title-image-description\">\n     <!-- Article content -->\n    <article class=\"article-content\">\n        <div class=\"container-fcl\">\n            \n                            <h2>What we brought back to FCL<\/h2>\n            \n            \n                            <p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The participants returned with new tools, perspectives and motivation. Almudena Ferro highlights the ability to &#8220;look at our surroundings and identify existing resources to integrate into training&#8221;, underlining the impact of experiential learning on motivation and knowledge integration. Rute Machado emphasises the contribution to her professional practice: &#8220;I developed new skills in designing and facilitating person-centred activities outside the traditional classroom, using outdoor spaces and informal learning environments.&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Both participants highlight the potential of this approach for FCL&#8217;s international courses, particularly through the use of outdoor and cultural spaces in the Foundation&#8217;s surroundings: nearby gardens, public spaces and museums. This mobility has already had a direct impact on a project application submitted after the experience, which incorporated contributions from the methodologies learned in Denmark. In the medium term, it may also drive the development of new training offerings oriented towards outdoor learning.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Beyond the professional gains, the contact with Danish culture, and with the concepts of <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">hygge<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> and <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">slow down<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, enriched the intercultural dimension of the experience, strengthening openness to diversity and the motivation to keep innovating.<\/span><\/p>\n                    <\/div>\n    <\/article>\n<\/section>\n\n<section id=\"title-image-description\" class=\"title-image-description last-block\">\n     <!-- Article content -->\n    <article class=\"article-content\">\n        <div class=\"container-fcl\">\n            \n                            <h2>New mobilities and training courses in Lisbon<\/h2>\n            \n            \n                            <p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The Funda\u00e7\u00e3o Cidade de Lisboa remains committed to continuous learning and European cooperation, and will continue to promote staff mobilities under the Erasmus+ Accreditation.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">In addition to mobility activities, FCL offers a range of training courses in Lisbon under the Erasmus+ programme, aimed at professionals in the fields of education, social work and interculturality, covering topics such as intercultural mediation, human rights and sustainability and
